Transcripts and Student Records Request
 
If the student is currently in school, left school during the current year, or graduated within the past two school years, his/her transcript and student records are maintained at their high school. Therefore, the high school should be contacted directly to request copies.
 
If the student graduated more that two school years ago from now, his/her transcript and student records are maintained and available at the Pitt County Schools central office. (See below).  
 
If the student was previously in elementary, middle, or high school when they last attended Pitt County Schools, those records are kept at the school last attended for five school years and labeled as "inactive". Therefore, the last school attended should be contacted directly to request copies. After that time, the records are transferred to the Pitt County Schools central office. (See below).
 

How to Obtain an Official Copy of Your Transcript/Student Records
 
Transcripts and Student Records may be requested and obtained from the Pitt County Schools Central Office using one the following methods:
  1. Transcript Request by Mail
  2. Transcript Request in Person
  3. Online Transcript Request
Requests cannot be taken over the telephone or via e-mail.
 
NOTE: If the envelope of an official transcript is opened, it is no longer considered official.
 

Requests in Person
 
Transcripts and Student Records may be obtained in person at the Pitt County Board of Education Office located at 1717 West Fifth Street, Greenville for a fee of $5.00 per copy. Transcripts will not be printed and given to you while you wait. Processing may take five (5) to seven (7) business days and will be mailed. Payment of $5.00 (cash, certified check or money order) for each request must be included with form before your request will be processed. NO PERSONAL CHECKS WILL BE ACCEPTED.
 

Transcript and Student Records Request by Mail
 
To request transcripts in writing, print out a copy of the Transcript and Student Records Request Form and complete all of the requested information.

Greenville, NC 27834
 
Processing may take five (5) to seven (7) business days and will be mailed to you. Payment of $5.00 (cash, certified check or money order) for each request must be included when you mail your form before your request will be processed. It is also important that you completely fill out the form before submitting. Forms that are missing information could result in a delay in processing.
