Pitt County Schools will award diplomas to approximately 1,450 students during the graduation ceremonies being held over the weekend.
The Class of 2011 was offered $12,533,372 in scholarships, an increase of nearly $2 million from the previous year. This includes a Park Scholar, a National Merit Scholar, a Benjamin N. Duke Scholar, six NC Teaching Fellow Recipients, two East Carolina University Scholars, an Early Assurance to the Brody School of Medicine and appointments to the United States Naval Academy, the United States Air Force Academy and the United States Military Academy at West Point.
