April 8, 2011 - D.H. Conley Science Students Win State Honors

DH Conley Science students received several honors during the State Science and Engineering Fair and the NC Student Academy of Science held on March 25 & 26.  The following students received honors at these events:
 
Austin Bryan
  • NC Student Academy of Science - Stockholm Senior Water Project Prize , 3rd place in the Senior Engineering & Technology Category
  • NC Science and Engineering Fair – Honorable Mention in the Senior Technology & Engineering Category  & advancing to the Global Environmental Issues in the US Competition in New York in June
Jordan Lancaster
  • NC Student Academy of Science  – recipient of the Naval award and  1st place in the Senior Physics Category, including the opportunity to attend AJAS meeting in Vancouver next February.
Matthew Whitford & Josh Watson 
  • NC Student Academy of Science  - 2nd place in the Senior Physics Category
Anja Burcak 
  • NC Student Academy of Science  -3rd place in the Senior Physics Category
Miles Wobbleton & Danielle Romack 
  • NC Student Academy of Science  - 3rd place in the Environmental Science Category
  • NC Science and Engineering Fair  - Recipient of the American Meteorological  Society Award
Kathryn Braswell 
  • NC Student Academy of Science -  3rd place in the Senior Chemistry Category
