Welcome to Pitt County Schools
The Pitt County School System is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools as a Quality School System. The system was one of the first 100 school systems in the nation to achieve this distinction. District Accreditation is a process designed to recognize school systems that embrace improving student learning as a systematic process. This achievement recognizes the quality of education afforded the students in Pitt County Schools through the leadership of the superintendent and governing authority, the dedication and service of the professional staff, and the support of community stakeholders.Pitt County Schools currently serves more than 24,000 students in 39 schools and is continuing to see annual growth in its student population.
