Migrant Education Program (PITT MEP)

Migrant Education Program
Pitt County’s strong agricultural industry draws many migratory workers and their families to the area for seasonal jobs in farming, fisheries, packing plants, and more. Frequent moves can disrupt a child’s education, putting them at risk of falling behind.
Pitt County Schools Migrant Education Program (PITT MEP) is dedicated to supporting migratory students by helping them stay on track academically and graduate from high school. We provide tailored support to address each student’s unique needs, including academic tutoring, language support, and access to school supplies and enrichment programs. By working closely with schools, families, and community partners, we offer consistent services, bridge communication gaps, reduce educational disruptions, and ensure every student has the opportunity to thrive both academically and socially.
