HSA Rolling Admission Application for 9th-10th Grades
(Application availability August 1st-May 31st)
Late Admission Requirements
Students who wish to apply for late admission to the Academy must meet the following criteria:

Enrollment: Applicants must be enrolled in a Pitt County high school and be in the 9th or 10th grade at the time of application.

Academic Standing: A minimum 3.0 GPA (B average) is required to demonstrate consistent academic performance.

Disciplinary Record: Students must maintain a clean disciplinary record, reflecting responsibility and good citizenship.

Volunteer Service: Each student must commit to completing 25 volunteer hours per academic year, contributing to both personal growth and community impact.

Curriculum Commitment: Students must be willing to take and successfully pass six courses from the Academy curriculum sheet by the end of their senior year.
Meeting these requirements ensures students are prepared to thrive academically, grow as leaders, and make meaningful contributions to their community. The Academy is committed to supporting motivated students who are eager to challenge themselves and take advantage of the opportunities available.

Review and Approval – Applications will be reviewed by the Academy admissions team. Students and families will be notified of admission decisions by email.

Transfer Students
Admission for New Pitt County Schools Students
Students who are new to Pitt County Schools may apply for admission to the Academy regardless of their grade level. However, they must submit their application during the academic year in which they first enroll in PCS. All other requirements remain the same as those for late admission applicants.
