• 2021 PCS Voter District Realignment Plan

    Overview

On September 28, 2021, the Board met with Deborah Stagner of Tharrington Smith and Blake Esselstyn of MapFigure Consulting to review voter district realignment plan drafts.  Following the 2020 Census, the Board is required by the 14th Amendment to consider its current voter districts and ensure that each board member represents a substantially equal number of constituents while adhering to Section 2 of the Voting Rights Act of 1965.  After meeting with Ms. Stagner and Mr. Esselstyn, the Board selected the proposed map shown below.  The Board is also providing a summary of the demographic makeup of each voter district under its current map and the proposed map. Special Note: This plan does NOT include redistributing students. This plan is only for redistributing voters who vote for Board members in our current districts, based on updated Census information and in compliance with voter laws.
