PCS To Remain On Remote Status For Students And Staff Tuesday (February 3)

Pitt County Schools will continue to operate on a remote learning schedule for students and a remote working schedule for staff on Tuesday, February 3 due to lasting hazardous road conditions and subfreezing temperatures.

After reviewing the most recent National Weather Service forecasts and coordinating with Pitt County Emergency Management, this determination was made with student and staff safety as the top priority.  

Schools will contact families regarding assignments as all campuses will remain closed. Please continue to monitor any further developments via the pittschools.org website and our social media outlets.

PCS employees will be operating under CONDITION 5.

Key Closures and Cancellations:
●Schools: Pitt County Schools campuses are closed on Tuesday, Feb. 3; all students and staff will continue to operate on a remote learning and work schedule.

●Afterschool Activities: All afterschool activities and athletics scheduled for Feb. 3 are cancelled.

●Central Office: Central Office is closed; all staff will operate on a remote work schedule (please check with your supervisor).

●Programs: Before and Afterschool Care Programs, Daycare Programs, and Pre-K Programs are closed.
