PCS To Remain On Remote Status For Students And Staff Wednesday (February 4)

Pitt County Schools will remain on a remote learning schedule for students and a remote working schedule for staff on Wednesday, February 4. In addition to existing icy road conditions, the forecasted development of another weather system that includes wintry precipitation and continued sub-freezing temperatures is expected to impact our transportation areas and create additional hazards.   

Schools will contact families regarding assignments as all campuses and district offices will be closed. Please continue to monitor any developments via the pittschools.org website and our social media outlets.

PCS employees will be operating under CONDITION 5.

Key Closures and Cancellations:
Schools: Pitt County Schools campuses are closed on Wednesday, Feb. 4; all students and staff will continue to operate on a remote learning and work schedule.

Afterschool Activities: All afterschool activities and athletics scheduled for Feb. 4 are cancelled.

Central Office: Central Office is closed; all staff will operate on a remote work schedule (please check with your supervisor).

Programs: Before and Afterschool Care Programs, Daycare Programs, and Pre-K Programs are closed.
