Kathy Taft Center
Named after late local and state board of education member Kathy Taft, The Kathy Taft Center for Excellence and Leadership in Education provides a permanent home for professional learning in Pitt County Schools. With world-class training rooms, collaboration spaces, and an executive conference room, The Center serves as a physical commitment and representation of the value Pitt County Schools places on supporting, equipping, and empowering teachers and other leaders in the district.
This value is reinforced and illustrated in both the name of the building and the names of the individual rooms through The Center. Room and space names are intended to acknowledge some of the unique and important characteristics and contributions of Pitt County to our state and of North Carolina to our nation. You can read more about the individual spaces - and maybe even learn something of our history - by scrolling through the pictures and descriptions below.
