Principal and AP of the Year Announced

Pitt County Schools is pleased to announce that Cathy Kirkland, Principal of Wintergreen Primary and Intermediate Schools, has been named the district’s Principal of the Year for 2018, while Yolanda Williams of Creekside Elementary School has been named Assistant Principal of the Year. Nominees and award winners were recognized on October 17, 2018 at the Rock Springs Center at a ceremony graciously sponsored by the Pitt County Farm Bureau. This annual event recognizes some of the top leaders within Pitt County Schools.

The nominees for Principal of the Year were:

Cathy Kirkland, Principal of Wintergreen Primary and Intermediate Schools

Jeremiah Miller, Principal of Bethel School

Jennifer Poplin, Principal of Hope Middle School

Kamara Roach, Principal of WH Robinson Elementary School

Lakeesha Lynch Tabron, Principal of South Greenville Elementary School

Wynn Whittington, Principal of Pitt County Schools Early College High School

The nominees for Assistant Principal of the Year were:

Tarrus Carr- DH Conley High School, Karen Godwin- JH Rose High School, Reed Potts- DH Conley High School, Leigh Ann Swinson- Elmhurst Elementary School, Yolanda Williams- Creekside Elementary School.
