AMEXCAN Information

Dear community members and partners,

The Association of Mexicans in North Carolina, Inc. (AMEXCAN) invites you and your family to participate in our FAFSA Day event on Saturday, January 27 from 10:00 a.m.  to 2:00 p.m., at the Eddie and Jo Allison Smith Center for Student Advancement, Pitt Community College, located at 1935 Warren Drive, Greenville, NC 28590. This event aims to help students and their families navigate the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) application process.

The FAFSA application is a crucial step in obtaining financial aid for higher education, and AMEXCAN's main objective is to provide guidance and support during this process. Participants will have the opportunity to receive step-by-step assistance in completing the FAFSA application and learn about important deadlines and FAFSA requirements.

Students should bring a laptop (if they have one), their driver's license and social security number, their and their parent’s 2022 tax return documents, their FSA ID information, and a list of the schools they are interested in applying to.

This event is open to all students and their families, regardless of their educational background or institution of interest. Please RSVP before January 25 by calling: 919-840-8148 or emailing Maritza Mata at [email protected]. We look forward to welcoming you and your family soon!

Warm regards,

Maritza Mata
