WEEKLY MESSAGE

Jan. 23, 2022
Greetings Cardinal Families,
This is Y. Williams with an important announcement. Given the secondary road conditions throughout the county, tomorrow, January 24 will be a Remote Learning Day for students.
Students should access work through Seesaw (Pre-K- 2) and Canvas (Grades 3-12). Teachers will not be providing live learning sessions. All assignments will be posted in SeeSaw and/or Canvas for students to access "asynchronously". Teachers will be available throughout the work day to respond to students' questions about assignments via Class Dojo or email. For technology assistance, please go to the Technology Page at: https://www.pitt.k12.nc.us/Page/6262.
Students are expected to take care of the devices (and charger) while at home. The loaner device and charger must be returned to school when Face-to-Face returns. Any damage or loss is the parent's responsibility.
Please stay warm and stay safe.

Greetings Cardinal Families,
I hope you are having a great weekend as you stay safe and warm. This is Y. Williams from Creekside with the updates and reminders for the week of January 18th.
School will be closed on January 17th, as we observe Dr. Martin Luther King's birthday. I am so thankful that He had a Dream.
Students will finish their iReady and mClass assessments. Encourage your child to take their time so that we can get an accurate view of their level in reading and math. I am super excited about the growth that has occurred thus far.
The back parking lot is open for drop-off in the morning but ends at 755 for K5 students. Please bring late students to the front entrance.
Thank you for encouraging your child to wear their masks properly in the building and on the bus. Proper mask usage reduces quarantining.
Report cards were distributed last Tuesday, please reach out to your child's teacher with any questions or concerns. Resources are available are to support your child's learning at home.
Please opt in for COVID diagnostic testing at school. Information was sent home with a QR code and the link is located on our FB page.
Our word for the month is Determination. We are encouraging our students to be determined to learn their math facts (addition or multiplication) and to read more. Thank you for your continual support as we partner to increase academic achievement.
Thank you for keeping sick children home and contacting teachers.

Diagnostic Testing (Antigen or PCR) for individuals who have been exposed to an individual with COVID-19 (close contact) or are symptomatic and require testing to return to school.
