2017 was the sixth year that Creekside 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders have participated in a school spelling bee.  Each teacher holds a classroom bee, and both the winner and the runner-up move on to the school bee which is held in February.  The winner of the school bee moves on to the regional bee in Washington, NC in March.  Creekside uses Scripps Spelling Bee word lists, rules, and regulations.
