At Creekside two Student Council representatives are elected in the fall from each homeroom class in grades 3-5. We meet once a month to discuss ways to improve Creekside and the community in which we live.
We start our school year by recognizing and encouraging Red Ribbon Week which helps bring awareness to drug prevention.
Leading up to the holidays we hold a canned food drive for the Food Bank of Eastern North Carolina. We are proud to say that Creekside annually collects over one ton of food for the Food Bank! We also sponsor a Warm & Woolly Christmas Tree, collecting hats, gloves, socks, and scarves for the Women & Children's Shelter.
We have great success with our February fundraiser of Candygrams. It helps our students and staff feel the love of Valentine's Day and raise money for our school.
In April, we organize and run the Recess Relay which raises money for our Relay for Life Team.
The Student Council at Creekside encourages students to be leaders and excellent role models in their school and community!
