Conditions for Continued School Choice Approval
For students who have been approved for attendance through the school choice options, continued approval is based upon the following conditions:
- Good attendance standing (tardies, absences, early check-outs from school)
- Student behavioral conduct (following the Pitt County Schools Code of Conduct: English Spanish)
- Parent conduct towards school staff (behavior that meets the definition of unauthorized, disruptive, or dangerous visitors outlined in Section D of PCS Board Policy 5020 may have school choice approval status revoked)
If any of these conditions are not satisfied, the school principal will notify the PCS student assignment office, and a notice of approval revocation may be issued to the parent/guardian upon review of applicable information.
