2026-27 Release from Pitt County Schools

Requesting a Release from Pitt County Schools is for families living in Pitt County who choose to have their child(ren) attend public school in another North Carolina county’s public school system.

If you live within the county limits of Pitt County and wish for your child to go to school in another North Carolina public school system, please complete the following release request.  These requests will be processed within ten calendar days.

Please note: This form is not to request that records be sent to another school or district. When your child is enrolled in another school, the staff at that school will request records from your child's current school.

If approved, notifications will be sent to the email address used to complete the request form and to the registration office at the requested North Carolina public school system. 

If denied, notifications will be sent to the email address used to complete the request form.
