2026-27 School Lottery

School choice through the PCS school lottery allows families to request enrollment at schools with extremely limited capacity, including those outside the base attendance zone. 

Is my child eligible to apply for a lottery seat? Criteria to request enrollment through the lottery process.

The lottery application process opens on March 1st and closes on March 15th. Lottery selection will be done through a randomized process after the lottery request window closes. 

All applicants will be notified via email on March 31st of their lottery approval, denial, or waitlist status. 

If approved, the approval notification email will include additional information on next steps for enrollment. 

PLEASE NOTE: School lottery approval is through exit grade of the lottery school. Siblings of students admitted through the lottery process are not given preference for future lottery selections or reassignment requests.
