Middle school students from the Ayden community attend Ayden Middle School. The home of the Knights has been educating students since opening its doors in 1982. At a little more than 400 students in grades 6-8, Ayden Middle is Pitt County Schools' smallest traditional middle school and offers open enrollment. Ayden Middle is a Model PBIS school.
