    Extended Learning Packets

To prepare for this unexpected school closure, our staff has worked to create extended learning packets for students.  Online versions are available by clicking the link below.  Distribution of paper learning packets will be available at school feeding sites for those who may not have online access at home.  You can pick up paper packets at any school most convenient to you except Ridgewood, Hope, Innovation Early College, and Pitt County Early College.

Families are highly encouraged to ensure students have scheduled time each school day to complete learning assignments. In addition to completing their assignments, students are encouraged to read any book, article, newspaper, etc. of their choice for at least 20 minutes each day. Again, all students are encouraged to continue learning each day to support educational progress even without face-to-face instruction.

Please use the link below to view learning packets for your students' grade level and content area.

  •  Alert Now Message for the week

    March 29, 2020

Good Evening Mustang Families, this is Mrs. Johnson, principal of Hope Middle School.  This is a reminder that Pitt County Schools will go virutal beginning tomorrow, March 30th.  Students should log into the NCEd cloud account and then into Canvas. Teachers will post daily announcements with directions for that day or week’s tasks.  We encourage you to email your child’s teacher should you have any questions or concerns about their learning. Teachers will be connecting with your students through email, canvas, google classroom, zoom and phone calls.  Please make sure your contact information is current so you are able stay in touch with the most current information.

Students who requested packets may pick them up beginning each Monday for that week.  If you are receiving meals delivered and wish for your packet to be delivered, please call 252-355-7071.  Packet delivery will happen on Tuesdays at the latest.

For students without a device, but access to internet in their home, we are distributing 1 chromebook per household.  They are available on a first-come-first-serve basis. Please call the front office at 252-355-7071 to register and make an appointment to pick up a device.  Because we are limited on devices, we will not take walk-ins that have not preregistered any longer.

Due to the new orders for sheltering in place this week, we will be taking further precautions and limiting access to the building to students and parents..  After Monday, students will not be able to retrieve items from their lockers.

Our school hours during this time will be 8:00 am until 3:00 pm, Monday through Friday until further notice.

We miss our mustangs terribly and hope each of you are staying well and staying home.
