    Congratulations to the Hope softball team for finishing out the season as the undefeated conference and COUNTY Champions.
     
    The Lady Mustangs defeated the Ayden Knights yesterday in the county championship by a score of 4-0. 
     
    Leading the team’s defense in the circle was Kendall Howard, once AGAIN!! Kendall gave up only 2 hits and had no walks, in the 7 inning shut out, while striking out 13 batters. 
     
    Leading the charge at the plate was Emma Rose, going 2 for 3 with an RBI. Kendall Howard was 2 for 4 with a double AND a Squeeze bunt, scoring Britni Silver for the Mustang’s first run. Peyton James went 1 for 2 and had a sac fly that scored Kendall Howard. Ava Gaddis added a single in the 6th to score Reagan Stocks to complete the offensive assault. Also adding hits in yesterday’s offense was Harper Bradley, Lena Zurface, Britni Silver, and Reagan Stocks.
     
    It was a team win and it was a GREAT way to finish out the season, PERFECT, with an overall record of 15-0 and 10-0 in conference play.

    Congratulations to the Hope softball team for finishing out the regular season yesterday with a perfect record (14-0 overall; 10-0 in conference).
    The Lady Mustangs defeated the Wellcome Wildcats, 18-0 in just 4 innings.
    Leading the charge on defense was Kendall Howard. Kendall pitched a PERFECT GAME (allowing NOBODY on base for the Wildcats).
    And to top that, out of the 12 outs, Kendall had ALL strikeouts!!! That’s NO walks, No hit by pitch, No ground ball put outs….Just 12 back to back strikeouts. Congratulations Kendall.
    Several Mustangs contributed to the offense with great base running, delay steals, and solid hitting. Most notable was Lena Zurface (2 for 2 with a triple), Ava Gaddis (1 for 2 with a double), Britni Silver (1 for 2 with a triple), Harper Bradley (3 for 3), and Peyton James and Reagan Sticks added a hit a piece.
     
    The Lady Mustangs will play again, Wednesday, May 11th at Ayden for the COUNTY championship. Come out to Ayden Middle to watch the game!!

    Congratulations to the Hope softball team for another win yesterday. The Mustangs defeated the Greene Co Rams by mercy rule in the 4th inning, by a score of 15-3. 
    Picking up the win in the circle was Peyton James. Peyton gave up only 3 hits and walked only 4, while striking out 7.
     
    Leading the offense with hits, stolen bases and extra bases was the entire team. Everyone contributed in some way or another. 
     
    This win gives the Mustangs an overall record of 13-0 and 9-0 in conference play. 
     
    Come out today for the final game of regular season against Wellcome.

    Congratulations to the Hope softball team for their 10-0 win over PS Jones Demons yesterday. The winning pitcher for the Mustangs was Kendall Howard. Kendall gave up only 3 hits and 3 walks during the 5 inning shut out, while striking out 11. 
    The Mustang’s offense was let by Ava Gaddis (2 for 4); Kendall Howard (2 for 4 with a double); and both Lena Zurface and Gentry Oakley went 1 for 3 on the day, with a pair of doubles. 
    This win clenches 1st place in Division 1 with just two conference games left to play. Come out today for the Trifecta and support the soccer, softball AND baseball teams, for just $3. Baseball and softball face off with Greene Co. while our soccer team faces AG Cox.

    Congratulations to the Hope softball team for their 8-4 win over AG Cox yesterday. The defense was led in the circle by Kendall Howard. Kendall went the distance, giving up only 4 hits in the 7 inning game, while only walking 2 and striking out 9. Lena Zurface had a great defensive game as well, framing pitches and allowing only one passed ball. Adding to the defense was Harper Bradley at third base. Harper made a key play. late in the game, diving for a ground ball hit in the 5/6 hole and was able to throw the batter out from her knees. It was an amazing play, WOOF! WOOF!! (Inside Joke, please read it like a dog barking, lol)
     
    The Mustang's offense was led by Lena Zurface and Britni Silver, both going 4 for 4 on the day. Lena had all singles each at bat and recorded several RBI's. Britni had 2 singles and 2 doubles, scoring multiple RBI's as well. Peyton James added 2 sacrifice bunts and was able to squeeze a runner in, late in the game. 
     
    Congratulations to all the Lady Mustangs on a great TEAM victory. They'll travel to PS Jones on Monday.

    Congratulations to the Hope softball team for their 19-0 win at EB Aycock yesterday. The winning pitcher was Peyton James, striking out 6 while allowing no hits and walking only 1. 
     
    Several players had multiple hits on the day. Harper Bradley was 3 for 4; Gentry Oakley and Lena Zurface were 3 for 3; Ava Gaddis was 2 for 2; and Kendall Howard was also 2 for 2 but recorded her first career Home Run. 
     
    This win brings the team's overall record to 10-0 overall and 6-0 in the conference. 
    The Lady Mustangs will host AG Cox on Wednesday so please make plans to attend.

    Congratulations to the Hope softball team for their 18-0 win over the Wellcome Wildcats yesterday. Getting the win in the circle was Peyton james. Peyton had a no hitter in the 4 inning game and had 11 strikeouts of the 12 out game, while only walking two. 
     
    The Mustang offense was led by Ava Gaddis (2 for 2 with a triple), Reagan Stocks (2 for 2 with a double), and Emma Rose (2 for 2 with a double and a triple). 
     
    This win brings the overall record to 9-0 and 5-0 in the conference.

    Congratulations to the Hope softball team for their 5-2 win over the PS Jones Demons yesterday. The Lady Mustang's defense was led in the circle by Kendall Howard, giving up only 2 hits and 1 walks in 7 innings, while striking out 14 batters.
     
    The Offense was led by Harper Bradley (1-4, scoring twice), Britni Silver and Reagan Stocks were 1 for 3 on the day, and Ava Gaddis went 2 for 4, scoring a run as well. 
     
    This win brings the overall record to 8-0 and 4-0 in the conference. The Lady Mustangs play at Wellcome on Monday.

    Congratulations to the Hope softball team for their 9-0 win over the AG Cox Raiders yesterday. The Lady Mustang's defense was led in the circle by Kendall Howard, giving up only 4 hits and 2 walks in 7 innings, while striking out 9 batters.
     
    The Offense was led by Peyton James and Lena Zurface with 1 hit each, Reagan Stocks added to the hitting assault going 2 for 4 and driving in the games first run.  Finally Kendall Howard helped her cause going 2 for 3 while Gentry Oakley, Emma Rose, and Britni Silver each went 2 for 3, scoring multiple runs for the win. 
     
    This win brings the overall record to 7-0 and 3-0 in the conference. 
     
    The Lady Mustangs face PS Jones at HOME for the Tri-fecta on Wednesday. Come on out and support all the teams for just $3 for students and $5 for adults.

    The Hope softball team defeated the EB Aycock Jaguars on Wednesday by a score of 24-0. Leading the Mustangs in the circle was Kendall Howard, allowing only 1 hit while striking out 8 in just 3 innings. 
     
    The Mustang Offense was led by Reagan Stocks (1 for 1 with 2 RBI's), Lena Zurface (2 for 3 with 2 triples, scoring 3 times), Emma Rose (2 for 3, scoring 3 times) and Britni Silver (2 for 2 with a triple and an in the park homerun)
     
    This win brings the Mustangs record to 6-0 overall and 2-0 in the conference. The Mustangs face Greene County today at HOPE. Come out and support the teams.

    The Hope softball team defeated the Greene Co. Rams on Monday by a score of 19-4. Leading the Mustangs in the circle was Peyton James, allowing only 1 hit while striking out 3.  The Mustang Offense was led by Harper Bradley (2 for 3, scoring 3 times), Ava Gaddis (2 for 4, scoring 2 times0, Emma Rose (2 for 2, scoring 3 times) and Kendall Howard 3 for 3, scoring 2 times. 
     
    This win brings the Mustangs record to 5-0 overall and 1-0 in the conference. The Mustangs face EB Aycock on Wednesday at HOPE. Come out and support the teams.

    Congratulations to the Hope softball team for their 5-0 win over the Ayden Knights yesterday. Getting the win in the circle was Kendall Howard, only giving up 3 hits while striking out 8. 
     
    The offense was led by Britni Silver (1 for 2), Harper Bradley (1 for 3) and Lena Zurface (1 for 2 with a double).
    This win brings the Lady Mustangs record to 4-0 and they will face Greene Co at Greene Co. on Monday.

    The Hope softball team picked up it's 3rd win of the season, defeating Farmville by a score of 11-0. Leading the defense in the circle and picking up her first win, was 6th grader, Peyton James. Peyton pitched 3 and 2/3 innings, allowing only 2 hits and striking out 2 along the way. Kendall Howard came in in relief to close out the 5 inning game, striking out 2 while allowing only two hits as well. 
     
    The offense was led by Ava Gaddis (2 for 2, scoring 3 times) and Lena Zurface (2 for 3). Gentry Oakley added a triple in the 4th inning. Adding to the hit total was Kendall Howard, going 1 for 3 with a double. 
     
    This win brings the Lady Mustangs record to 3-0 overall. They will host Ayden on Wednesday, March 23rd, after Spring Break.

    The Hope softball team picked up their second win of the season, with a 10-0 victory over Woodington yesterday.
    Leading the team in the circle was Kendall Howard. Kendall gave up just 2 hits while striking out 11 in the 5 inning game. 
    Hope's offense was led by (2 for 4) and Britni Silver (3 for 3) with a single, double and a triple (1 homerun shy of "hitting for the cycle".
    This win makes Hope 2-0 on the season, and they'll play again on MOnday against Farmville. Please come out on Monday to support the teams.

    The Hope softball team had their season opener yesterday (3/2) and defeated the Chicod Hornets by a score of 16-0.
    Combing for the Perfect Game in the circle was Kendall Howard (6 K’s) and Peyton James (3 K’s).

    Leading the team’s offense was Lena Zurface, Gentry Oakley, Britni Silver, and Peyton James, with a hit a piece. Harper Bradley added to the total going 2 for 3 on the day, scoring twice.

    The Lady Mustangs will take on Woodington Middle out of Lenoir County for tomorrow Trifecta (Baseball, Softball & soccer). Come out and support the teams!!
