Welcome to Sugg Bundy!
I have been bleeding blue and gold at Sugg Bundy for over eleven years as both the assistant principal and principal. I hold multiple degrees from ECU and I am a Pirate fan, a New Jersey Native, a life long learner, a mother, an advocate for children with disabilities, a lover of reading and watching documentaries and spending time with my family.
My husband, Mr. Chris Setser, is a fellow educator in Pitt County at AG Cox. My oldest daughter, Madison, is married and a clinical laboratory scientist and resides in Farmville. My youngest daughter, Meredith, is currently a freshman at ECU in the Honors College. My family loves to travel, watch movies. attend sporting events, and complete projects at home.
I am honored to be at the helm of a true community school and pride myself on collaborating with our local churches, businesses, and community organizations. I enjoy being an instructional leader and supporting beginning teachers. I have a passion for working with children and making learning fun. I want our school to be a place where students and teachers choose to be and my job is to support them and work to improve our school daily. I believe as an effective leader it is my job to facilitate a school where both teachers and students lead. I am excited for the opportunities for change and improvement at Sugg Bundy.
In closing, I believe in my students. I believe in their ability. I believe in their creativity. I believe in their intelligence. I believe in their energy. I believe in their insight. I believe in their goodness and the hope they bring, I believe in their ability to lead, I believe in their ability to overcome obstacles in their lives that would make many of us want to give up. I believe in my students.
