The “Problem Solving Team” is an umbrella term often used to describe groups of individuals that meet to analyze data and determine solutions to problems.
Duties of the Problem-Solving Team (PST) include: ● Assisting teachers in individualizing instruction to meet the needs of all students ● Assisting in developing intervention strategies to be used by teachers ● Meeting twice a month to monitor and review student progress ● Monitoring, collecting data, and evaluating the efficacy of intervention strategies ● Providing an efficient data analysis of students’ response to intervention ● Promoting a constructive, problem-solving process among teachers ● Increasing teacher skills in differentiating instruction and working with academic and behavioral issues of all students
