• JROTC Program For Accreditation JPA

The D. H. Conley High School Viking Battalion will be going through our Tri-Annual JROTC Program for Accreditation (JPA) on 8 December 2021.  This will be our first inspection in five years and our second time under the new inspection standards.  This is how our program is evaluated for its effectiveness in classroom instruction, and cadet development over their time in our program.  This inspection is approximately four to seven hours long on campus, plus pre-inspection activities and post inspection out brief and publication. This inspection has three major parts: a Continuous Improvement briefing, Service Learning briefing two drill presentation, portfolio inspection, and out briefing.  Since 2005, the Army JROTC program has been accredited by a national accrediting agency known as AdvancED.  As an accredited Special Purpose Program, JROTC must adhere to AdvancED’s Standards for Quality.
