Mu Alpha Theta has over 100,000 student members in over 2,420 schools in the United States and in 23 foreign countries. We are dedicated to inspiring keen interest in mathematics, developing strong scholarship in the subject, and promoting the enjoyment and understanding of mathematics among our high school students at J H Rose High School.
To become a member of this club, our students have to:
- Be enrolled in or have taken Honors Pre-Calculus, AP Statistics or AP Calculus (AB or BC) and
- Have an overall B average in all their high school courses
One of the many activities that our club is involved in includes providing school wide tutoring, both face to face as well as virtual, to all students needing help in all math subjects. Our members also participate in various math competitions at the local, regional, and national levels, such as the American Math Competition and the ECU Math Competition.
