    Hello, Wintergreen Gators and Eagles!

I am a Martin County native and have worked in education and with children of all ages for 24 years.  I attended UNC-CH and began working with children after college as a nanny.  I worked as a preschool teacher for 4 years in Richmond, VA and later in eastern NC.  I attended ECU and completed the licensure requirements and began teaching 5th grade. I taught in Martin County at Edna Andrews, a small school in Hamilton, NC.  I worked at EA for 13 years as a 4th and 5th-grade teacher. During my time in the classroom, I also pursued an advanced degree in Reading Instruction and my National Board certification.

After completing my Administrative degree at Gardner Webb University I was ready for a new challenge.  For the past 2 years, I have worked in Elizabeth City with Elizabeth City Pasquotank Schools as an Instructional Coach and as an Assistant Principal.

After 2 years of commuting, I was ready to look for a position closer to home, friends, and family.  I am very excited to have the opportunity to join the Wintergreen Family. I look forward to working with you and learning from you.

Hello, Wintergreen Gators and Eagles! I am excited to join the Wintergreen Schools Family!

I received my Master’s of Arts in Teaching – Elementary Grades education from East Carolina University. I have taught 1st grade and exceptional children’s resource K-5 at Lakeforest Elementary School in Pitt County. I later received my Add-on Licensure in School Administration and Leadership from Gardner Webb University.

I am thankful and honored to be chosen as an Assistant Principal for the Wintergreen family. I enjoyed joining this group of talented teachers, students, and partnering parents! I am excited to see what the future holds and to watch our students grow to their full potential. You matter, every day, in every way, in all that you do, nothing less than your best!
