Mrs. Mandy Rogister
Mrs. Rogister is a 26 year veteran educator who has served in both instructional and leadership roles with Pitt County Schools and ECU. Mrs. Rogister has had firsthand knowledge of the greatness of Chicod since1999 in multiple roles, in addition to all three of her children attending our wonderful school.

Mr. Aaron Speas
Mr. Speas began his career as a special education teacher from 2014 to 2019, where he developed, implemented, and progress monitored Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), analyzed assessment data to inform decisions, and provided Specially Designed Instruction (SDI) through the Occupational Course of Study (OCS), curriculum assistance, and co-teaching models across a variety of core subjects and grade levels. From 2019 to 2021, he served as a district-level Exceptional Children’s program staff member in Pitt County Schools, supporting middle and high school special education programs, providing professional development, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and district guidelines.
From 2021 to 2024, Mr. Speas served as Dean of Students, focusing on student support, school culture, family stakeholder engagement, and discipline. From 2024 to 2025, he served as an Assistant Principal, where he provided instructional leadership through observations and feedback loops, managed student discipline, coordinated school-wide state testing, led professional development aligned to school goals and district initiatives, and represented the Local Education Agency (LEA) in IEP meetings to ensure compliance with all special education regulations.
Mr. Speas is excited to serve alongside all school, family, and community stakeholders to meaningfully contribute to the historical success and continued growth of Chicod School.
