    Dear Players and Parents,

    We are excited to announce the upcoming Volleyball Open Gyms, Workouts, and Tryout Dates for the upcoming season!

    Please read the important information below carefully:


    🏐 Open Gyms & Workouts

    OPEN GYM : July 14th 3:00 - 4:00 PM / this is going to be an opportunity for the girls to get in the gym and play this is not mandatory

    OPEN GYM: July 15th 8:00 - 9:00 AM/ this is going to be an opportunity for the girls to get in the gym and play this is not mandatory

    ****FOR ALL ATTENDING WORKOUTS PLEASE MAKE SURE TO BRING A PAIR OF RUNNING SHOES FOR OUTSIDE****

    WORKOUTS: 8th grade ONLY July 29th 6 - 7:30 PM - this is not mandatory but highly recommended

    WORKOUTS: 7th grade ONLY July 31st 6 - 7:30 PM - this is not mandatory but highly recommended

    WORKOUTS:  6th grade ONLY August 5th 6 - 7:30 PM - this is not mandatory but highly recommended


    🏐 Tryouts

    Try out dates: ALL DAYS OF TRYOUTS ARE REQUIRED ON YOUR SCHEDULED DAYS

    August 11 : 6th and 7th graders only 6 - 7:30 PM

    August 12: 6th and 7th graders only 6 - 7:30 PM (1st cut)

     August 13: 8th graders only 6 - 7:30 PM

    August 14: 6 & 7th graders who made first cut and all 8th graders (2nd cut)

    August 15: All 6, 7 and 8th graders who made it through 1st and 2nd cuts; this will be the final day of tryouts and FINAL cuts made.

     ***All athletes must bring a pair of tennis shoes appropriate for outdoor running. This is important for our conditioning portion of tryouts.***


    ✅ Physical Requirement (IMPORTANT)

    No student-athlete will be allowed to attend any open gym, workout, or tryout without a completed and uploaded physical on DragonFly.
    Please ensure your physical is current and submitted in DragonFly before participating in any volleyball activities.


    🚫 Dress Code Reminder

    • No travel ball gear (jerseys, shirts, hoodies, etc.) at any open gym, workout, or tryout.

    • Wear appropriate athletic attire that represents your commitment to our school program.


    We’re looking forward to a great season and can't wait to see everyone in the gym!

    Congratulations to our HMS Volleyball girls on being the regular season champions and the Division 1 tournament champions! 

    They ended the season with a win against CME - final scores game 1 25-20 game 2 25 - 23/ For the match Kassie Stone had 4 kills and 2 aces and Jayden Shirley had 4 kills

    Volleyball won the 1st round of the tournament game 1/ 25-13 game 2/ 25-22 Rayne Knittle had 2 kills and 1 ace, Anna Scott had 1 ace 1 block and 1 kill. Kassie Stone had 3 aces, 1 kill and 1 block. Chloe Locklear had 1 block! 

    We will host the 2nd and final round of the tournament Wednesday October 30 at home against CME. Please come out and support our volleyball girls! Rides should be here by 5:00 to pick you up.
