Click HERE to visit Chicod's online book search.  Type in keywords, subjects, titles, authors, or series to search for books that interest you!  Once you click on the link, scroll down and select Chicod School. Click on the Catalog tab at the top of the second page.  If you are searching for books by reading levels, you need to search by Accelerated Reader levels.  To do this, click in the box beside "Reading Programs" and select "Accelerated Reader".  You can then type in your desired reading level.

Students in grades K-2 are allowed 1 book per checkout for a two (2) week period.  Grades 3-8 are allowed 2 books per two (2) week period.  Students are expected to pay for lost or damaged books.

Friday, March 1st was read across America Day and the Pirate football players came out to Chicod to read to our kindergarten through fifth grade students and to share a book along with talking to the students about the importance of school and reading. They also let the kids ask them questions about their football experience and their playing positions. It was a great day here at the Hornet Hive. Thank you to all of the ECU Football players that participated.
