  • Weekly Updates

    September 20 Update:

    Good evening IECHS families,

We hope that you have had a great weekend and are ready for a productive week. Here are this week’s announcements.

    • On September 23 our Math I student leaders will be taking the NC Check In. All Math I leaders must log into NC Test on September 23 to take this assessment. Face-to-Face students will take the assessment at school. Remote leaners were mailed information on how to access the assessment.

    • We ask that parents remind their student leaders to be proactive when something comes up and interferes with a student’s ability to complete an assignment on time. Being proactive can be the student emailing the teacher, using Google text to text the teacher, calling the front office to leave a message for the teacher, etc. As a staff we have discussed this with our students, but would like for parents to help remind students to please be proactive!

    • IECHS is implementing a grade recovery procedure in an effort to provide student leaders with an opportunity to complete missed assignments from this first marking period. In order for students to take advantage of this opportunity they must reach out to their teacher to request permission to make up any missed assignments. Once students reach out to their teachers the teacher will follow up with details on what needs to be made up. This procedure is designed to help students to recover any zeros they may have from first semester. Students must reach out to their teachers by September 30 and they have until October 5 to make up work. Please remember it is the student leader’s responsibility to contact the teacher in order to make up missed assignments.

    • Fall Drivers Ed classes begin on September 23 at 4:15. Classes are from 4:15 until 7:15 from September 23 until October 8 on Mondays-Thursdays, no classes on Fridays. Please call Ms. Val for more details or to sign your student leader up for Drivers Ed.

Thank you for your support of IECHS!

    Have a great week!

    Buenas noches familias IECHS,
