• Our System

In order to serve our students with excellence, we operate in strengths-based and skills-based teams. The expertise each team member and department brings to the table helps to accelerate our system forward with a focus on personal, interpersonal, and cognitive student success. Our intention is to serve, and our goals are to create workable systems creating environments that allow all students to thrive.

Pitt County Schools is made up of many departments that make it possible for our school system to run smoothly. Information about our departments such as Finance, Human Resources, School Nutrition, Operations, Transportation, Exceptional Children and many more can be found in this section of our website. Click to the left to find out more about each of our departments and the programs available in each of them.

Our Families is another section if you're not finding what you need. Our families are important to us at Pitt County Schools, and we realize the diversity and unique perspective each brings to the table. Our role is to equip our families and to provide them with valuable resources that truly bridge the gap for each student in our system. Need to know what school supplies are requested or our current school calendars? What about how to check your student's grades or how to log in to Canvas, where many of our teachers' assignments have been posted? All of those items are available to you here as well as links to School Nutrition Services, Transportation, Exceptional Children and more. Click on the blue bar and Our Families to find more resources.

Our Community is also a section that includes Communities in Schools, how to secure a school building for an event, and how to donate to scholarships and programs within our Pitt County Educational Foundation. It also features unique community to school programs such as Grow Local.

As always, your most valuable resource for information is your student's school. Please contact the school's support staff or administration for unique questions pertaining to your school or attendance area.
