  • An educational audiologist is a hearing healthcare professional who works with children with hearing loss to make sure they receive the support they need at school. This may include fitting hearing assistive technology and helping teachers understand about the child's hearing loss. The audiologist also conducts hearing screenings and evaluations to identify students with hearing loss. They are part of the team that develops the Individualized Education Plan (IEP) and 504 plans for students with hearing loss.
