PCS Announces Intradistrict Principal Moves

Pitt County Schools Superintendent Dr. Ethan Lenker on Wednesday announced administrative leadership appointments involving two schools and the district's virtual academy, effective July 1, 2024.

Megan Newman, who has served as principal at Grifton School since 2021, will take over the top role at Elmhurst Elementary School replacing Daniale Stancil. Grifton's current assistant principal, Yolanda Brickhouse, will be elevated to the principal's position, while Stancil will transition to an off-campus assignment by assuming principal duties for the PCS Virtual Academy.

The three individuals possess a combined total of 55 years as educators within the district, which includes 31 in full-time administrative roles.
