Graduation Ceremonies Set for PCS Class of 2024

Pitt County Schools will complete its Class of 2024 graduation ceremonies this weekend at Minges Coliseum on the campus of East Carolina University. In all, a total of 1,677 students will have earned their diploma during the course of 10 different commencement exercises which began May 23.

The district's six traditional high schools - D.H. Conley, J.H. Rose, South Central, Ayden-Grifton, North Pitt and Farmville Central - will celebrate its graduates Friday and Saturday. DHC (2:30 p.m.) and JHR (6:30 p.m.) will conduct ceremonies Friday, while SC (9 a.m.), AG (12:30 p.m.), NP (3:30 p.m.) and FC (6:30 p.m.) will follow Saturday.

Students from PCS Early College High School, Innovation Early College High School, Project SEARCH and Pitt Academy already turned their tassels in earlier events on May 23, May 30, June 4 and June 5, respectively.

"We offer our congratulations to the Class of 2024 and proudly recognize their resiliency to accomplish success through the challenges they encountered along the way," PCS Superintendent Dr. Ethan Lenker said. "While we celebrate their graduation, we also want to support the many different journeys that continue and encourage future growth as leaders in their respective communities."

All PCS graduation ceremonies will be streamed live via the district's YouTube channel. Please visit http://go.pittschools.org/livestream. Video broadcasts will be titled by school once streaming begins. Smart TV and mobile application users need to search for the PCS YouTube channel and look for the titled thumbnail with the "live" icon.
