PCS Will Be Closed Thursday, Aug. 8

Due to updated forecasts of significant rainfall totals and potential flooding associated with the track of Tropical Storm Debby, Pitt County Schools will be closed Thursday, August 8 - the last workday of its summer weekly schedule.

Both early college high schools, however, will be operating via remote instruction Thursday and Friday.

This closure is out of an abundance of caution to ensure the safety of our students and staff. All PCS daily operations, summer camp activities and athletic practices/events are cancelled beginning at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday through Friday.

PCS employees may work remotely with supervisor approval, make up time or use leave hours (for Thursday).
