Altice-Suddenlink is an active partner with Pitt County Schools focusing on resourcing our schools and shedding light on STEM-based learning. A Grow Local partner since 2018, Altice has hosted students in their offices, highlighting STEM-based career opportunities.
During the pandemic, Altice provided 25 iPads for our students and staff members and also high-speed, low cost internet for families in need through the Emergency Broadband Benefit Program and the Altice Advantage Internet program.
Since Altice supports STEM-based initiatives, you'll see sponsorships for FIRST NC robotics and local Pitt County robotics teams as well.
This year, Altice was a sponsor of the Education Appreciation Week and provided snacks, an inspirational message, and a banner of appreciation at several schools.
Also, Altice customers provided 4000 items at a "stuff the bus" school supply event with Parents for Public Schools in August of 2021.
Finally, Altice is sponsoring a Hispanic Heritage Essay Contest each September for Hispanic Heritage Month where middle or high students earn a $1500 scholarship or iPads.
