• Taste Explorers Club
    What is it?
The Taste Explorers Club is a way to introduce students to new and healthier foods they may not otherwise try.
At the beginning of each school year the Pitt County Schools K-5 teachers are given the opportunity to sign up to participate in Taste Explorers. If they choose to participate, one day each month their class is given a new food item to try. The school cafeteria staff prepares the item and the samples are picked up the teacher. The item is also offered the following day on the school menu. We are able to offer the program again this year through the support of the Vidant Medical Center Foundation.
